It all started with a problem I had. I couldn’t play certain videos on my Android phone due to incompatibility. The stock video player would just say “Sorry, could not play video.” to me every time I tried to view videos with certain file types. Needless to say, this got kind of annoying.

Gestures: While viewing a video on MX Player, you can swipe different areas of the screen in different directions to control certain aspects of the app. For example, you can make the brightness of the screen higher or lower by simply swiping up or down on the right half of the screen. Swiping up or down on the left side increases or decreases the volume (respectively). And of course, swiping horizontally to the left or right will rewind and fast forward the video.
Resume Play: One of the things that I really like about MX Player is that I can play a video, pause it half way, play another video, and then come back to the original video and resume playing it right where I left off. This is great for when you load a bunch of movies or TV shows onto your phone as you won’t always get to finish watching something the first time around.
